**Job Title: Skilled Laborer - Custom Fixture Assembly**
**Job Description**
This role involves working in a non‑climate‑controlled shop environment to build and assemble custom fixtures based on manufacturing blueprints. You will support construction projects by fabricating electrical assembly bodies and related components, using your own basic hand and power tools. The position is ideal for a hands‑on, detail‑oriented professional who is comfortable working independently while contributing to overall shop production.
**Responsibilities**
+ Build and assemble custom fixtures in a shop environment following manufacturing blueprints and drawings.
+ Fabricate electrical assembly bodies and related components to support construction projects.
+ Use hand and power tools safely and effectively to cut, drill, fasten, and assemble materials.
+ Measure and mark materials accurately using tape measures and other measuring tools to ensure precise cuts and fits.
+ Interpret and follow manufacturing drawings or blueprints to complete assemblies to specification.
+ Inspect completed work for accuracy, quality, and adherence to design requirements.
+ Maintain and use personal basic hand and power tools, ensuring they remain in safe working condition.
+ Support overall shop production needs by taking on varied tasks related to fabrication and assembly.
+ Work independently to complete assigned tasks while coordinating with team members as needed.
+ Follow shop safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area.
**Essential Skills**
+ Prior experience in shop fabrication, skilled labor, or construction‑related assembly.
+ Ability to read and interpret manufacturing drawings and blueprints.
+ Strong measurement skills, including accurate use of a tape measure.
+ Proficiency with basic hand and power tools used in general labor, carpentry, and assembly.
+ Attention to detail and commitment to producing high‑quality work.
+ Ability to work independently while also supporting team needs.
+ Strong work ethic, reliability, and willingness to take on varied tasks as needed.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Background in general labor, construction, carpentry, or concrete work.
+ Experience assembling products or fixtures in a shop or construction environment.
+ Comfort working in a non‑climate‑controlled shop setting.
+ Ownership of basic hand and power tools suitable for fabrication and assembly tasks.

This is a Contract position based out of Montgomery, AL.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
