**Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic**
**Job Description**
The Maintenance Mechanic works on site in a tire-handling facility, performing mechanical maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting on production and material handling equipment, including conveyor systems and related machinery. This role focuses on keeping equipment running safely and efficiently through both corrective and preventive maintenance activities.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform mechanical maintenance and repair on production and tire-handling equipment to ensure reliable operation.
+ Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair conveyor systems and associated components to minimize downtime.
+ Lubricate, grease, and service mechanical parts according to preventive maintenance schedules.
+ Use control panel boxes and related controls to diagnose and resolve equipment issues.
+ Apply working knowledge of PLCs as a troubleshooting tool to identify faults and support efficient repairs.
+ Work with HMIs (Human Machine Interfaces) to monitor equipment status and assist in diagnosing problems.
+ Carry out preventive maintenance tasks to extend equipment life and reduce unexpected failures.
+ Follow established safety procedures at all times, including proper lockout/tagout practices during maintenance activities.
+ Document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts used in accordance with site requirements.
+ Collaborate with other maintenance and operations personnel to prioritize and complete work orders efficiently.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proven experience as a maintenance mechanic or maintenance technician in an industrial environment.
+ Strong mechanical skills with hands-on experience working on industrial equipment and conveyor systems.
+ Knowledge of hydraulics and ability to maintain and troubleshoot hydraulic systems.
+ Knowledge of pneumatics and ability to maintain and troubleshoot pneumatic systems.
+ Experience performing preventive maintenance on industrial machinery.
+ Ability to work safely with control panel boxes and related electrical-mechanical interfaces.
+ Working knowledge of PLCs for use as a troubleshooting tool.
+ Experience or knowledge of HMIs (Human Machine Interfaces) for equipment monitoring and diagnostics.
+ Solid understanding of safety practices, including lockout/tagout procedures.

+ Ability to read and interpret equipment manuals, basic schematics, and maintenance documentation.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $31.00/hr.
