Spectrum Healthcare Resources has a potential opportunity for a civilian Licensed Practical Nurse - Pain Management at Nellis Air Force Base, in Las Vegas Nevada.

Position Highlights

Education and Experience

Must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or alien authorized to work in the U.S.

Must hold a current, full, active, and unrestricted license to practice as an LPN in any of the 50 states, D.C., Puerto Rico, or U.S. Virgin Islands.

Must hold Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through American Heart Association or American Red Cross guidelines and provide documentation of training from NFIM or a similar accredited body.

Must graduate from an accredited community college, junior college, college, or vocational nursing program approved by the appropriate state agency; and Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) or the Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education (CCNE) accreditation may be applied.

Must have a minimum of two (2) years of full‑time experience as an LPN within the last four (4) years; at least one (1) year of this experience must have been in an integrative medicine, pain management, orthopedic, or rehabilitative clinic setting, including duties such as assisting primary providers with non‑pharmacological procedures, preparing patients for treatment, documenting clinical encounters, and providing patient education.

Standard Qualifications

Perform a full range of LPN duties within the scope of the license and privileges granted by the MTF.

Assist physicians and other providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments, including rooming patients, taking and recording vital signs, preparing patients for procedures, and assisting during minor procedural interventions.

Administer medications as prescribed by the provider, including intramuscular, subcutaneous, and oral medications.

Maintain and manage patient medical records, ensuring accurate and timely documentation in MHS GENESIS.

Provide patient education regarding treatment plans, medications, and follow‑up care as directed by the provider.

Perform basic administrative and clerical duties, including scheduling follow‑up appointments, managing referral queues, and communicating with patients via phone or secure messaging.

Maintain clinic readiness by stocking exam rooms, sterilizing instruments, and ensuring equipment is functional.

Maintain a professional manner, display a positive and cooperative attitude, and adhere to all MTF policies regarding safety, patient privacy, and dress code.

Complete all required MTF, DHA, and service‑specific training as directed.
