Job Description
This role focuses on diagnosing and repairing diesel trucks and related systems to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient operation. You will perform routine and maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues, and accurately document all completed work while working as part of a skilled technician team.

Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair, and overhaul diesel trucks in accordance with manufacturers’ specifications and safety standards.

Test equipment after repair or assembly to verify proper performance and compliance with manufacturer guidelines.

Perform routine maintenance on equipment and vehicles, including cleaning, lubricating, and basic adjustments.

Troubleshoot and repair engines and drivetrains, identifying root causes of performance issues.

Diagnose and repair electrical systems, including wiring, components, and related controls.

Inspect, maintain, and repair brake, steering, and suspension systems to ensure safe operation.

Service and repair hydraulic and air systems, including reading and applying hydraulic schematics.

Accurately document all work performed, including repairs, parts used, and maintenance activities.

Essential Skills

Hands‑on experience with diesel repair and maintenance on trucks or similar equipment.

Ability to read and work from hydraulic schematics and repair hydraulic systems.

Experience with electrical systems, including diagnosing and repairing vehicle electrical issues.

Solid understanding of vehicle diagnostics across engines, drivetrains, brakes, steering, suspension, hydraulics, and air systems.

Experience working with electrical systems on diesel trucks or heavy equipment.

Willingness to participate in ongoing training, including out‑of‑state technical training programs.

Work Environment

This is a full‑time, day‑shift position working Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

You will work in a busy shop environment with on a team of maintenance professionals, equipment, and diesel mechanis.

Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Rochester, NY.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $43,680.00 - $83,200.00/yr.
