
Human Resources Intern

Job Summary
The HR Intern will be responsible for assisting the HR and Wellness team with providing general administrative support to the HR team as needed by scheduling interviews, supporting the onboarding process for new hires, preparing materials and coordinating orientation sessions, scanning of employee records, assisting in employee engagement activities and events, conducting research and benchmarking on HR best practices, and presenting findings. The HR Intern will also meet and work with other areas within the HR department, including: Compensation, Employee Relations, Front Office, Leadership Development, Recruitment, and Workforce Development. The HR Intern may also spend time with the Hendrick Health Executive of Human Resources.
Job Requirements
Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program and maintain enrollment throughout internship
Maintain work area according to OSHA and NIOSH standards
Schedule appointments
Deals effectively with hospital personnel
Demonstrated interpersonal skills
Excellent human relations and oral/written communication skills
Maintains a professional appearance and decorum at all times
Requires ability to handle confidential information
Requires extreme diplomacy and tact
Research information
Use computerized spreadsheets to conduct analysis
