Position Details

This is a full-time position in our 7th and 8th Grade school that is divided into two simultaneous roles: Dean of Students to support administration with administrative tasks related to the orderly function of school and Student Success Coordinator to engage in proactive measures to better support students that have been identified as at-risk. Specifically, this position is .5 FTE Dean of Students, .5 FTE Student Success Coordinator.
Responsibilities — 0.5 FTE Student Success Coordinator

MTSS Team Leader/team-member
Focus on attendance, academic, and behavioral interventions utilizing research-based tier 2 and 3 interventions.
Coaching support to staff regarding interventions and improving overall outcomes for identified at-risk students using evidence-based practices.
Facilitate small group sessions in a proactive fashion with identified at-risk students to help increase their social, emotional, and behavioral capacity in an effort to increase the amount of time at-risk students remain in programming.
Proactive monitoring and counseling of identified at-risk students/families.
Anti-bullying and crisis intervention programs as necessary (i.e. groups, individual student follow up post discipline, etc.).
Documentation of time on PAR form.
Assist with the development, facilitation, and monitoring of 504 plans.
Other duties as assigned based on needs of identified at-risk students.
Responsibilities — 0.5 FTE Dean Of Students

Support administration with the supervision of students during arrival in the morning, during school hours, and during dismissal to ensure the safe and orderly function of the learning environment.
Support the safety, security, and supervision of the school environment.
Support administration with addressing disciplinary issues within the building, which include: working with students regarding behavioral infractions, contacting parents, communicating with teachers, processing referrals, and–as necessary–documenting additional paperwork for formal removals.
Facilitate restorative sessions after discipline, and continue to follow up with students 4-6 weeks after discipline in a structured fashion to ensure students remain in programming while having their social, emotional, and behavioral needs met to prevent future issues.
Documentation of time on PAR form.
Other duties as assigned related to administrative tasks.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree
Strong understanding of adolescent school student behavior and needs.
Preferred Qualifications

Teaching and/or administrative certification
MTSS background/experience
Behavior interventionist experience
Contract
