Pay Range: $21.00 - $22.00
Responsibilities
Develop and provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers at all times.
Distribute work assignments, provide direction, and train assigned team.
Oversee loading/unloading of freight with pallet jack, hand truck, or forklift.
Manage cargo from incoming trucks by hand or manual equipment, and verify/count and document condition of cargo received.
Operate vehicle to transport materials to and from specified destinations safely and efficiently.
Develop load plans for trucks and containers, and anticipate equipment needs.
Sort cargo by account or intended location, label accurately, and store in proper location.
Handle special cargo (hazardous or sensitive materials) and maintain required documentation.
Assume light packing duties and assist in export boxing area when needed.
Qualifications
Education: High School Diploma or GED; minimum three years related experience; minimum six months supervisory experience; preferred two years industry experience.
Skills: Forklift Driver Certification; valid state-issued driver’s license preferred; ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds; ability to operate forklift, hand truck, pallet jack, and heavy equipment; basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
Characteristics: Professional response to customer needs, command workflow processes, read and complete checklists, distribute work assignments, identify and resolve problems promptly.
