STS Technical Services is hiring A&P Mechanics to join our growing team in Tucson, Arizona. If you’re a licensed technician with experience in aircraft maintenance and a passion for high‑quality work, this opportunity offers long‑term contract stability, overtime potential, and the chance to work on CRJ and commercial aircraft in a dynamic MRO environment.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, and perform maintenance on aircraft systems
Accurately document all maintenance actions in accordance with FAA regulations
Train and assist other technicians or contractors when needed
Adhere to company policies and work rules while maintaining a safe and efficient environment
Job Requirements
Current FAA A&P License or Airframe (A) License required
Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Aircraft Technician
MRO experience preferred
CRJ airframe experience a plus
Military aircraft maintenance experience (Depot/Isochronal/Phase inspections) is a plus
Familiarity with FAA documentation, parts catalogs, and maintenance manuals
Must meet FAA Title 14 CFR Part 65 language requirements (read/write/speak English)
High school diploma or GED required
Must provide a complete aviation tool kit and demonstrate tool control
Must pass a criminal background check and FAA drug and alcohol screening
Basic computer skills required
Willing and able to work 12‑hour shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays
Essential Job Functions
Collaborate in a high‑stress, fast‑paced team environment
Work independently with minimal supervision
Maintain strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Physically capable of lifting up to 50 pounds, with frequent standing, walking, and climbing
Perform aircraft maintenance in both hangar and ramp environments (FAR Part 135)
