We're working with a renowned market maker expanding their options vertical. Younger than their Delta-1 compatriots; the business is just over a year old, the infrastructure is in place, and the early hires have been made. Now they're building on top of that foundation.
Options is where the firm's investment is going. The recent additions were top PnL generators at their previous shops (think of the likes of Citadel, IMC, Optiver), and certainly not the kind of people firms don't let go easily. The bar is high, and the team reflects that.
What you'll do:
Develop signals, build models, and implement systematic strategies
Work alongside researchers and traders to refine and generate PnL
Own your contributions. This isn't a 200-person research org where attribution is vague and your work disappears
Who you are:
MS or PhD in a STEM subject
2+ years in quant research, either in index or equity options
Options pricing or vol fitting experience is a plus
Clear communicator and team player
Not completely greenfield, but it's far from mature. There's genuine scope to shape the direction of the team and leave a mark. Comp reflects the ambition: highly competitive, with first-year guarantees and up to 7 digits for the right person.
