Overview
Holtec International Position: Maintenance Technician

Locations: Camden, NJ (Advanced Manufacturing Division); East Pittsburgh, PA (Holtec Manufacturing Division); Orville, OH (Orrvilon Manufacturing Division).

Holtec International is seeking qualified Maintenance Technicians to join its Manufacturing Operations team. The Maintenance Technician will support daily operations by maintaining, installing, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial machinery and systems to improve reliability, safety, and efficiency of production equipment and facility systems. This is a hands-on role that involves collaboration with operations, engineering, and safety personnel in a dynamic manufacturing environment. The technician must be able to interpret technical documentation, perform root cause analyses, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

Perform routine and emergency maintenance on mechanical and electrical systems to minimize downtime and ensure optimal equipment performance.

Install, repair, and upgrade production machinery and auxiliary systems according to operational needs and safety standards.

Conduct equipment inspections and preventive maintenance tasks to identify wear, damage, or failure risks.

Support the commissioning and decommissioning of machinery, including disassembly and reassembly of critical components.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance work, repair history, parts usage, and equipment reliability.

Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to safety, efficiency, and operational uptime.

Ensure compliance with applicable safety codes and internal procedures during all maintenance activities.

Collaborate with Maintenance Manager, Shop Managers, and Production Supervisors to prioritize tasks and resolve technical issues.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years of maintenance or industrial experience, including relevant military or technical training.

Experience in troubleshooting and maintaining hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, lubrication, and power transmission systems.

Ability to read and interpret technical instructions, diagrams, equipment manuals, and schematics.

Strong understanding of safety procedures in an industrial setting.

High School Diploma or GED required.

Physical ability to support shop-floor operations, including lifting up to 50 pounds, climbing, kneeling, and working in potentially adverse environmental conditions.

Desirable Qualifications

Technical certification or associate degree in industrial maintenance or related field.

Experience with overhead cranes, mobile equipment, and welding support equipment.

Working knowledge of electrical schematics, motor control systems, and PLC troubleshooting.

Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).

Previous experience in a manufacturing environment subject to quality standards and safety regulations.
