
Central Dispatcher

Responsibilities
Manages daily dispatch activities (availability and time approval by Branch Manager (BM), dispatching closest trucks, etc.)
Converts opportunities to sales requests (SR) and confirms with owner (Outside Sales Representative (OSR), General Manager (GM), or Branch Manager (BM))
Answers central dispatch phone line in a timely and professional manner
Processes requests from existing (standard) customers
Qualifications
Education: high school diploma or GED
1-2 years dispatch experience, preferred
Excellent communication skills to collaborate with others under any type of condition
Excellent clerical and organizational skills to keep track of schedules, routes, and personnel
Knowledge of computers for scheduling and other dispatching duties, Oracle Field Operations module preferred
Skills Required
Ability to multitask with different, and sometimes conflicting, events happening at the same time
Ability to work under stress and remain calm and to calm other people during rapidly changing circumstances
Ability to relay information in a fast-paced environment
