Job Description Summary/objective: The Salvage Yard Front End Loader Operator is responsible for operating heavy equipment, specifically front-end loaders, to move and load materials throughout the yard. The operator will also be responsible for ensuring that all materials are properly segregated and prepared for sale to customers, as well as maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Essential Functions
Operate frontend loaders to move materials throughout the yard
Load material onto trucks, trailers, etc. as needed
Ensure that all materials are properly segregated and prepared for sale to customers
Assist in maintaining accurate inventory records and tracking the movement of materials
Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding salvage yard operations
Maintain a safe and clean work environment, including enforcing safety protocols and ensuring that all employees are adhering to environmental regulations
Perform other duties as assigned by management

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Ability to follow safety guidelines and regulations
Familiarity with local, state, and federal regulations regarding salvage yards
Proficient in basic math and computer skills
Valid Driver’s license is required
Physical Demands
Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. independently

High School Diploma or Equivalent
