Hands‑On Staff Accountant for Growing Manufacturing Operation
A manufacturing company in Greenville, South Carolina, is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to support our on‑site accounting operations.
This role is best suited for an accounting professional who is comfortable working in a hands‑on environment, can manage core accounting responsibilities with minimal oversight, and remains dependable and focused in a changing business landscape.
This position will have direct responsibility for key accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, customer invoicing, and general ledger activity. The Staff Accountant will be actively involved in account reconciliations, journal entries, and month‑end close support, and must have a solid working knowledge of GAAP and practical accounting controls.
We are looking for someone who is proactive, detail‑oriented, and takes ownership of their work. Strong Excel skills are essential, as this role involves preparing reconciliations, schedules, and supporting financial information on a regular basis. The ideal candidate is comfortable working onsite, managing competing priorities, and adapting as business needs evolve. Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is strongly preferred.
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is required, along with several years of professional accounting experience.
This role requires sound judgment, follow‑through, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with internal stakeholders when needed.
