Overview Sr. Technology Solutions Analyst (Center for Media & Technology Solutions) – Johns Hopkins University. The role supports technology solutions for the Whiting School of Engineering, including business operations, communications, and academic technology. Responsibilities include technology needs analysis, evaluation, implementation, maintenance, and end-user support, with a focus on test-driven development and quality assurance.
Responsibilities Lead programs and projects to evaluate business processes and gather requirements for complex transaction and reporting systems.
Develop, maintain, and organize test cases, test scripts, and test scenarios; coordinate test events and deliverables for projects, enhancements, operations, and maintenance activities.
Collaborate with sponsors, decision makers, content owners, users, and technical teams to ensure scope, requirements, and design are well understood and documented.
Serve as a liaison to understand business requirements deeply and translate them into technical deliverables, including appropriate test coverage to ensure quality products.
Analyze and report meaningful metrics on testing status and operations.
Provide a layer of essential services surrounding software development, including requirements analysis, solution design collaboration with developers, and test suite design in parallel with development to ensure quality and fitness for use.
Collaborate with IT teams for direction and feasibility studies; evaluate vendor-provided solutions against business needs and recommend suitable options.
Identify and develop test cases, automated tests, and data requirements for various business processes; recommend tools, execute tests, and manage defects.
Perform full life cycle management for large/long-term projects; manage multiple projects and build broad-based solutions integrating technologies and business processes.
Develop and maintain documentation and assist with training as needed; build client relationships through positive interaction.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree.
Six years of related experience, preferably in testing and business requirements gathering.
Equivalency options as permitted by Johns Hopkins University.
Preferred Qualifications Experience with educational technology (e.g., Canvas LMS and third-party tools).
Experience with ChatGPT.
Experience with Zendesk Support and Guide.
Experience with video communications (e.g., Zoom).
Knowledge of the assigned application and the platform it runs on; higher education experience is helpful but not required.
