Job Summary
Super Micro Computer, Inc. is currently seeking a Sr. Tax Manager. This position will assist with tax provision, planning, compliance functions, and all tax matters. The ideal candidate will report directly to the Tax Director. The Tax Director will work with Head of Tax and a dynamic finance team to perform a variety of tax functions including compliance and provision. He/she is responsible to ensure meeting all filing tax deadlines and reporting requirements accurately. The candidate must be a self‑starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. This position will be a member of the Finance team in the company's headquarters located in San Jose, CA.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare/review quarterly and annual ASC 740 provision, including FIN 48, ASC 718 computations, FDII and GILTI calculation, tax memo and required disclosures
Responsible for compliance reporting for Federal and State income tax (including estimates and extensions) to ensure all reporting obligations are filed accurately and timely
Compute/review book‑tax differences; prepare/review supporting tax return work paper and documentation
Coordinate the preparation of income tax returns with outside tax providers and review federal and state tax returns
Gather information and assist annual R&D study documentation
Manage tax audits includes: IRS and state income tax, property tax, respond to all tax notices and IDR requests
Responsible SOX tax documentation controls
Maintaining tax calendar
Assist in other tax projects and initiative
Qualifications
BA/BS in Accounting, Finance and related field
CPA certification or equivalent preferred
Minimum 12-15 years of tax experience with public accounting and industry
Strong technical knowledge of ASC 740 and U.S. federal tax
Working knowledge of international tax, such as FDII, GILTI, Subpart F, and BEAT
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with all levels of management
Solid excel skills: experience with SAP, Workday, and Blackline, or similar tools is a plus
Salary Range
$176,000 - $197,000
The salary offered will depend on several factors, including your location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees already in this role. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation, such as participation in bonus and equity award programs.
