Warner Music Group’s Center of Excellence for Shared Services provides financial, legal, and administrative support to all U.S. record labels, publishing, and artist & label services divisions. The Nashville center embraces a hybrid work schedule that blends in‑office and virtual days.
Responsibilities
Prepare, analyze, and distribute participation profit share and distribution statements according to contractual agreements.
Compile and review transactional data to support statement reporting.
Interpret, summarize artist and label contracts, create related statements and financial schedules, and provide contractual and financial data for deal models and analysis.
Apply financial accounting skills: review profitability analysis, identify variances and trends, create commentary to explain insights from financial statements, perform reconciliations, update cash forecasts and budgets, and investigate audit issues and claims.
Follow department financial controls and policies, communicate deficiencies and gaps to management.
Maintain vendor master data, input, code, and coordinate payments.
Build and maintain strong working relationships across the company, follow up open work items, and respond to requests from internal and external partners.
Communicate status and, when appropriate, elevate issues to the manager.
Learn WMG operational and accounting systems, and develop expertise in participations accounting and operations.
Represent and contribute to the culture of the Participations group.
Qualifications
BA/BS degree required, preferably in accounting or finance‑related fields.
0–2 years of experience in a related capacity.
Advanced proficiency with MS Excel, working with large data sets and complex calculations.
Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
Effective interpersonal skills; able to work cross‑functionally and communicate with internal and external stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple priorities, execute tasks with accuracy, and deliver under pressure.
Ability to understand complex information quickly, break it down, and communicate it to others.
Desired Skills
Entertainment, media, or music industry experience in participations/royalties or a similar role.
Financial statement preparation background.
Technically savvy and exposure to SAP S4‑HANA, MS Teams, and SharePoint.
Salary
Salary Range: $22.00 to $25.64 hourly.
