Rob Sand For Iowa: Digital Strategist Rob Sand for Iowa is hiring a Digital Strategist to work on our gubernatorial campaign. This position will be responsible for leading the creation, management, and optimization of digital content for our 3 "Team Sand" campaign social media accounts. The strategist will work alongside the digital team & campaign staff to build these accounts from the ground up with the goal of expanding the reach of campaign messaging across the digital ecosystem. The ideal candidate should be a self-starter, problem-solver, and passionate about electing Rob Sand as the next Governor of Iowa.
Auditor Rob Sand is Iowa's only statewide elected Democrat. In the first 24 hours in the race Rob raised an Iowa record $2.25m. Immediately after Rob's entry into the race, Cook Political Report released an updated rating on the Iowa governor's race, moving it from "Solid Republican" to "Lean Republican," a rare "'double jump' rating change," calling Rob the "strongest contender his party could have recruited for the open seat."
Qualifications:
Experience working on a political campaign(s), specifically within digital programs, managing social media content creation.
Excellent organization & project management skills in a fast-moving & demanding environment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Deep understanding of platform-native storytelling & narrative building best practices.
Knowledge of social media channels, tools, and analytics.
Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently and as part of a team.
This position is full-time, would begin in January 2026, and lasts through November 2026. Applicants must have a reliable laptop, cell phone, and vehicle. Applicants must also be comfortable working irregular hours including nights and weekends.
Compensation: $4k/month with additional health care stipend
