Permanent Claims Specialist – Workers’ Comp
Location:

Grocery chain, Orange County, CA (OC).

Salary:

$100,000 - $120,000 per year, full‑time, permanent position.

Role Overview
Responsible for managing and resolving workers’ compensation claims in a fast‑paced retail environment, ensuring legal compliance, maintaining comprehensive documentation, and collaborating across departments to drive compliance, investigations, and return‑to‑work programs.

Key Responsibilities

Review, analyze, and manage claims to resolve them promptly and accurately.

Collaborate with various departments to gather necessary information and documentation related to claims.

Identify potential risks and implement effective risk‑management strategies to mitigate losses.

Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.

Provide excellent customer service by responding to inquiries and resolving disputes in a timely manner.

Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation of all claims and related correspondence.

Participate in regular training and development activities to stay updated with industry trends and best practices.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of experience in claims management or a related field.

Proven experience in risk management and ability to identify and mitigate potential risks.

Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work effectively in high‑pressure situations and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and claims‑management software.

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field preferred.

Professional certification in Claims Management or Risk Management is a plus.
