Salary Range:

$80,000.00 - $110,000.00/Year

Purpose of Position:

To lead and direct routine functions of the Human Resources department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.

Responsibilities

Lead and direct routine functions of the Human Resources department including hiring and interviewing staff, administering pay, benefits, leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.

Recruiting: Oversee full life cycle of both exempt and hourly level positions; maintain Open Positions Report for region and partner with Distribution Directors on talent acquisition initiatives; partner with VP of HR to implement processes to support company-wide recruiting initiatives; organize and facilitate initial forklift assessment; assist with the conversion of temporary agency employees to company hires; prescreen candidates for positions in region and schedule in-person interviews with managers.

Benefit Administration: Assist employees with benefit enrollment process (e.g., new hire, family status change) and respond to benefit questions within 24 hours, with follow-up to ensure satisfaction.

On Boarding: Maintain onboarding tasks in UKG; prepare New Hire Orientation Packets; implement Week One Training; present New Employee Orientation on Day 1; conduct follow-ups at 24 hours, two weeks, 30 days, 60 days, and 90 days; ensure completion of e-Verify and all state and federal requirements for newly hired employees.

HR Administration: Partner with executive leadership to understand and execute the organization’s HR and talent strategy; provide support and guidance to HR Generalists and management; manage talent acquisition processes; analyze compensation and benefits trends; create learning and development programs; oversee disciplinary meetings, terminations and investigations; manage Performance Process including 45/90 day reviews, annual and merit reviews; maintain compliance with employment laws and regulations; stay current on HR trends and regulatory changes.

Qualifications

Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Previous HR Generalist experience or education in HR field.

Knowledge of employment laws and compliance issues.

Ability to work independently on multiple projects simultaneously.
