QC Technician
The QC Technician will be an integral part of the AKBM Manufacturing team and will be responsible for sample generation, preparation, and data analysis as well as for supporting production processes.
Responsibilities
Oversee test results for all AKBMM finished products according to specifications and relevant procedures
Conduct test results for raw materials according to specifications and relevant procedures
Perform analyses for in-process and release samples according to specifications and relevant procedures
Manage analytical testing of third parties’ products
Prepare, pack and ship samples to external laboratories as needed
Investigate and interpret data to determine if the reported data meets specifications or expected outcomes
Perform investigations on out of trends and out-of-specification results
Prepare documents enabling the traceability of results obtained in laboratory experiments
Review and follow standard operating procedures, test methods, work instructions and department policies
Participate in writing and updating standard operating procedures
Maintain equipment maintenance and calibration within the QC lab and other QC areas
Perform daily verification of instruments
Perform laboratory instrument and analytical method troubleshooting
Work closely with QC Manager, Senior QC Technicians and other departments such as production, warehouse
Ensure safe working conditions and compliance with all health and safety regulations and company safety protocols
Job requires availability to work on certain weekends and holidays
Required Skills
Experience with a wide range of relevant analytical techniques and instrumentation are preferred
Expertise: GC, HPLC, IC are preferred
Experience with data analysis and knowledge generation tools
Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills, good verbal and written communication skills in English
Ability to multi-task and have strong work ethic
Must be able to lift 30 pounds at a time
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in chemistry, Analytical Chemistry or related major
1-2 years experience preferred
