This large hospital operates as a Level I Trauma Center providing comprehensive gastroenterology services with established protocols for inpatient consultation and procedural care. The facility maintains modern gastroenterology equipment and utilizes EPIC EMR for integrated patient care coordination and clinical documentation.

Northern Virginia offers diverse attractions ranging from shopping destinations like Tysons Corner Center and Fair Oaks Mall to historical sites including Mount Vernon and Arlington National Cemetery. The area features educational venues such as George Mason University alongside recreational opportunities in parks and scenic locations. The gastroenterologist will provide comprehensive 24-hour inpatient call coverage from 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM managing 15 patients with 4 procedures and 2-4 add-on procedures daily. The clinician will perform GI consults exclusively for adult patients at a Level I Trauma Center with support from 3 MD colleagues and comprehensive documentation in EPIC EMR system. Board certification in gastroenterology is required for this assignment involving Monday through Monday coverage periods.
