Job Description A global engineering and technology provider in the mineral processing sector is seeking a Lead Project Engineer to support its Engineering & Projects activities across North America.
This role covers the full project lifecycle, from early-stage customer engagement and proposal preparation through to engineering execution and project delivery. The successful candidate will help convert opportunities into projects, lead delivery of engineering studies and small projects, and contribute to building a regional project delivery capability.
The position leads a small local engineering team while coordinating international engineering resources and developing a North American subcontractor network to support project execution.
Key Responsibilities
Support customer engagement and opportunity development with the regional business development team
Lead preparation of engineering scopes, cost estimates, and proposals
Deliver engineering projects across scope, schedule, cost, and quality
Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and subcontractors
Develop a network of qualified engineering subcontractors in North America
Mentor and grow the regional engineering capability
Requirements Degree in Mechanical, Chemical/Process, or related engineering discipline
8–10+ years in project engineering, plant design, or EPC environments
Experience preparing technical scopes, estimates, and proposals
Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary engineering projects
Background in mineral processing, materials handling, or heavy industrial plants
Comfortable in customer-facing technical roles
