
Administrative Assistant (Part-Time)

We are seeking a detail-oriented, reliable part-time Administrative Assistant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a supportive environment, is comfortable handling sensitive information, and is interested in the mental health field. Our practice accepts insurance, so familiarity with insurance processes is a plus.
Responsibilities
Greet clients and visitors, providing a welcoming and professional atmosphere
Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and manage appointment scheduling
Verify client insurance benefits and assist with insurance authorizations
Collect and process payments, including copays and outstanding balances
Maintain accurate and confidential client records in our electronic health system
Assist clinicians with administrative tasks such as document preparation and correspondence
Coordinate with insurance companies regarding claims, denials, and billing issues
Support general office operations, including ordering supplies and maintaining a tidy workspace
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree preferred
Previous administrative experience, ideally in a healthcare or mental health setting (preferred, but not required)
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Proficiency with computers and office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace)
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Availability for part-time hours, including some evenings as needed
