Maintenance Supervisor — someone who brings fresh thinking, follows through, and knows how to bring people together to get results. Responsibilities

Plan, schedule, and supervise maintenance staff in daily activities including maintenance, installation and repairs, service requests, turnarounds, and cleaning of grounds and common areas.

Hire, train, and develop maintenance staff, ensuring company policies, procedures and safety practices are applied.

Conduct regular safety inspections; correct unsafe practices, train staff on chemical and equipment handling, and ensure compliance with OSHA and other applicable safety regulations.

Lead maintenance department and safety meetings; participate in regional meetings and community events.

Coordinate with vendors and contractors for installation, maintenance, and repair work; negotiate bids and inspect work for quality and cost‑effectiveness.

Maintain departmental budget, ensuring projects and scheduling remain within budgetary guidelines.

Purchase and order maintenance supplies, materials, and appliances efficiently; manage inventory to keep stock levels adequate.

Assign and track service requests, make‑readies, and other maintenance projects using Yardi Mobile; ensure timely completion to WBPC quality standards.

Troubleshoot and train maintenance staff on specific trades such as plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and fire alarm systems.

Ensure adherence to all company safety policies and secure work environment for employees.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years of related maintenance experience; property management experience preferred.

Proven ability to supervise and lead a large team.

Advanced knowledge of electrical, carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, painting, carpet care, and appliance repair.

Certifications in HVAC and EPA preferred.

Effective communication and interaction with management, partners, subordinates, vendors, and residents.

Proficiency with small hand and electrical tools, basic machinery repair, and mobile device/PC operation.

Valid license may be required for this role.

Availability for regular on‑call work assignments, emergency calls, off‑hours, and overtime as required.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Benefits
Typical base compensation range depending on experience: $38 to $40 per hour USD.
