Job Description
The Construction Inspector / Civil Field Technician, also known as the Construction Services Specialist, is responsible for overseeing and reviewing the construction process for various projects. This role involves ensuring that projects are completed according to engineering plans and specifications. The projects will include work with municipalities and public utilities such as wastewater treatment plants, stormwater systems, drinking water treatment plants, pump stations, and roadway utilities. The primary focus will be on underground infrastructure for water supply, water treatment, wellfield, and water systems.
Responsibilities
Document construction activities and conduct construction inspections from the project site.
Collect, maintain, and organize construction documentation.
Review engineering and construction documents for projects.
Conduct onsite reviews of construction project sites to ensure compliance with engineering plans and specifications.
Collaborate and maintain client relationships on the project site.
Communicate effectively with contractors and subcontractors.
Verify design plan accuracy at project sites.
Propose improvements or recommend alterations during construction as necessary.
Consult with contractors and engineers regarding construction activities, reports, and engineering designs.
Review changes in construction and material specifications as projects develop.
Provide assistance and expertise on construction projects in relation to reports, inspections, tests, and other engineering records.

Contract to Hire position based out of Grand Rapids, MI.
Pay and Benefits
Pay range: $23.00 - $33.00/hr.
