This 266-bed non-profit regional hospital serves as a major referral center for the North State region. The facility operates as a Level II Trauma Center offering comprehensive acute care including robotic surgery and advanced cardiovascular care. The hospital maintains established neurocritical care protocols with experienced support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

This region offers diverse attractions ranging from historic sites to entertainment venues such as theme parks and major film studios. Visitors can engage in outdoor activities including surfing, kayaking, hiking, scuba diving, and skiing while exploring renowned destinations and wine country tours. The area provides access to natural wonders including giant sequoias and various wildlife experiences throughout the state.

The nurse practitioner will round and evaluate all patients on the neurosurgery service while coordinating care with the neurosurgeon on call. Clinical responsibilities include writing daily progress notes, discharge summaries, consultation notes, and evaluating new consults. The clinician will communicate changes in care plans and neurological assessments to the neurosurgeon on call while managing patient and family communications throughout the assignment.
