Job Summary
This role will be responsible for assisting in preventive maintenance, repair, and installation of manufacturing equipment. This is a union role.
Job Responsibilities
Maintain plant production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment
Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions
Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; use precision measuring and testing instruments
Control downtime by informing production workers of routine preventive maintenance techniques; monitor compliance
Conduct machine installs and repairs, maintenance and facilities repair, including electrical, mechanical, welding, fabrication of special parts as needed
Job Requirements
High school, trade school; or at least two years experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong electrical and mechanical experience, preferably in an industrial environment
Technical understanding and basic safety knowledge
Knowledge of basic hand and power tools
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Compensation
The hourly pay rate is $23.08 - $32/hr
