What We’re Looking For
We have an exciting opportunity for a Production Supervisor at Winchester Hermetics in Melbourne, Florida!
We are looking for a self starter, motivated to learn our business and drive our production team’s continued success.
The Production Supervisor role includes responsibility for both human and material resources, and the management of production operations including scheduling, documentation, equipment maintenance, and production quality.
The Production Supervisor is also responsible for continuous improvement of the production systems to ensure customer satisfaction with our products and services related to Quality, Cost, and On Time Delivery.
The Production Supervisor will manage their direct reports to execute the production plan, and help their team become the best versions of themselves.

What is the Production Supervisor Accountable for?
Manage the assembly team in support of day-to-day manufacturing operations
Prioritize work orders and resources in order to achieve OTD and weekly / monthly production goals
Identify areas of improvement through people, performance, process and/or lean initiatives to help improve yields and eliminate scrap
Champion the Winchester culture while creating a strong department
Support safety training and awareness
How does the Production Supervisor Collaborate?
Collaborate across Hermetics in a way that leads by example, holds people accountable and utilizes data to make informed decisions
Effectively communicate the day-to-day priorities and goals to the team and share feedback with other stakeholders
Participate on behalf of the manufacturing team as it relates to training, engineering requirements, scheduling, quality, process improvements and general items
Have a positive, engaged, and infectious attitude that's easy to work with and aligns with our culture
What is the Production Supervisor Empowered to do?
Support the Manufacturing strategy that aligns to our monthly and annual goals, focuses on your department and compliments the others
Strengthen/build your department resources / personnel to achieve the best results. (cross-train individuals where needed, utilize cross-trained individuals to effectively execute the monthly plan)
Collaborate frequently with other departments to ensure priorities for Profit, Revenue, and OTD are met, technical challenges are resolved to completion, and customer communication is supported
Suggest incentives to reinforce the right behaviors and reward achievements
Continuously seek ways to simplify your department and cut labor hours and costs while increasing output
Communicate with your team daily to make sure expectations and performance goals are clear
Empower others within your team to take action supporting the department’s goals and objectives
Qualifications & Criteria For Success
Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a high mix / low volume manufacturing environment (Associate or Bachelors degree in Business, Engineering, or Manufacturing Operations a plus)
Knowledge of ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards and compliance requirements
Proven leadership and team‑building skills in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment
Proficient in reading and interpreting manufacturing drawings, prints, and work instructions
Hands‑on experience navigating ERP systems (Visual a plus)
Strong problem‑solving, communication, and organizational skills
Experience with 5/6S, Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and Six Sigma Principles / Methodologies
