Job Description
The Finance Manager will be responsible for all planning, forecasting, budgeting, and analysis functions across multiple regions in the Pacific. The Manager will lead strategic initiatives, including Pacific growth and acquisition evaluation, GMR operating leverage efficiencies, cost controls, and cost reductions, among other functions. The Manager is often called upon for ad‑hoc analyses, as directed by the VP of finance.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Assist through the annual budgeting process, ensuring understanding and ownership throughout the organization.
Help manage regional financial performance to ensure that they are meeting their annual EBITDA targets through monthly spend reviews and by developing tools and procedures that drive greater accountability and visibility.
Manage the monthly close and reporting cycle for the region with a focus on leveraging variance analysis to drive business results.
Provide analytics in support of sales, operational and business initiatives in the region, including financial modeling, new contract support and ongoing business tracking and evaluation.
Provide analytics for high‑value expense lines in the Pacific (e.g., Maintenance, Payroll and base profitability).
Perform ongoing and ad‑hoc reporting and analyses.
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or closely related field.
CPA or MBA preferred but not required.
Finance Experience
Minimum 5 years’ experience in Financial Planning & Analysis.
Experience preparing annual budgets.
Experience in the following finance matters:
Building Income Statement/Capital Expenditures portion of annual plan.
Cash forecasting.
Discounted cash flow analysis model development.
Forecasting and modeling.
Accounting (some, but not necessarily an expert).
Financial reporting.
Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
Language / Communication Skills
Expert in utilizing PowerPoint and Excel to drive discussion, debate, and ultimately great decisions using solid data and sound strategic logic and rationale.
Ability to communicate a point or message and successfully reach an outcome while working with others that is in the company’s best interests.
Ability to develop, organize, and present findings to a wide range of audiences.
Other Qualifications
Familiarity or experience with the following systems is preferred, but not required:
Oracle – for accounting.
Workday – for human resources.
Kronos – for timekeeping.
Concur – for expense report and accounts payable management.
Planful / Spotlight – for current financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting.
A team player with a willingness to collaborate with co‑workers across the GMR footprint, background in leading multiple discipline teams a plus.
A strong commitment to meeting internal and external deadlines with limited supervision.
Travel
The position will require some travel (less than 25%). The travel schedule is generally flexible and can normally be adjusted to meet individual schedules.
