This role offers an opportunity to influence business strategy, partner with senior leaders, and shape accounting policy. The position is open due to a transition from a long-term contractor to a full-time employee, providing a chance to make a lasting impact.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Lead technical accounting for complex transactions under U.S. GAAP
Prepare technical memos and position papers
Act as liaison with external auditors
Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities
Improve accounting policies, processes, and controls
Collaborate with Investor Relations, Tax, Legal, and FP&A
Required Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA required
8+ years of progressive accounting experience
Big 4 or national public accounting background
Strong experience in U.S. GAAP research
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience in the oil and gas industry
Familiarity with ERP integrations
Experience with Oracle FCCS, Wdesk, and Microsoft Copilot
