What You’ll Do
Assist with the creation of financial statements.
Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable.
Create purchase orders.
Prepare ad-hoc financial reports.
Monitor fixed asset and depreciation accounts.
Identify and help implement improvements to existing processes and systems.
Record general journal entries.
Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts.
Prepare documentation for external auditors.
Assist with the creation and tracking of the annual financial budget.
Support the monitoring of indirect cost rates and pools.
Assist in the creation of the Monthly Financial Review.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications / What You’ll Bring
Entry Level: 0-3 years of experience.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Knowledge of general financial accounting and cost accounting.
Understanding of and the ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles.
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Strives for continuous improvement and creative new solutions.
Strong critical thinking and reasoning skills.
Must be self-directed and able to work independently.
Nice to Haves
Knowledge of defense contracting
Experience with Unanet ERP
Education / Credentials
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting
US Citizenship is required for consideration, as this job requires a US government security clearance.
Nice to have - Secret level clearance.
Acceptable - No current clearance but eligibility to obtain
Physical Demands
Must be able to remain in a stationary position and work on a computer for prolonged periods
