Property Managment Bookkeeper

The Property Management Bookkeeper handles day-to-day accounting for Ellwood Commercial Real Estate’s portfolio of commercial properties. In this role, the responsibilities include accounts receivable and payable, collecting rent payments, managing vendor payments, bank reconciliations, lease administration, audits, tenant billings, maintaining general ledger and ensure month-end close and reporting are completed in a timely manner.

This position would be best suited for an organized, self-driven individual who is an experienced property management bookkeeper, knowledgeable in running Yardi Breeze, requiring minimal supervision, is detailed-oriented and is a team player.Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential to develop positive working relationships with property managers,tenants and contractors who work on the properties.Ideally, we are seeking an individual who holds themselves to the highest ethical standards, is driven, and has no problem rolling up their sleeves to achieve success.

This is a PT position with possibility of FT.

Responsibilities

Maintain full-cycle bookkeeping: AR, AP, bank Deposits, check runs and vendor payments

Prepare timely CAM, BOE and NNN tenant invoicing.

Administer lease agreements.

Prepare and post recurring and manual journal entries; maintain general ledger

Maintain monthly rent-rolls, rent schedules, bank reconciliations, property ownership reports

Perform monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations; prepare month-end close and variance analyses

Prepare monthly and year-end financial reports packages, cash and accrual basis.

Prepare SOI, Business Tax renewal, fictitious business, quarterly and annual tax returns.

Support audits and CPA; provide documentation as needed

Use Yardi Breeze daily for accounting, reporting and tenant management

Have a thorough understanding of partnership, LLC, trust and corporate accounting.

Proficient in cashflow, budget, forecasting, partner distributions, property management fees and proforma financial reporting.

Proficient in loans, interest, promissory notes, SBA loans, debt rations and current guidelines regarding reporting to financial institutions.

Communicate with property managers, owners and vendors regarding financial matters

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple demands and meet deadlines; be detailed and organized.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or certified bookkeeper designation.

A minimum of 3 years of professional bookkeeping, ideally with property management experience.

Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting and bookkeeping principles and procedures.

Intermediate to advanced skills with Yardi, Excel, Word and Quickbooks

Able to maintain updated and accurate files while staying organized.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening).
