Responsibilities

Reporting, monitoring, and analysis of the division's financial and operational performance.

Financial evaluation of proposed strategic initiatives, acquisitions, divestitures, line expansion, pricing, and product development.

Coordination and development of the commercial division's annual strategic plan and operating budget.

Salary Range
The salary range for this position is $60,000 - $121,300 per year plus bonus. The base salary indicated is applicable to all levels of the role across the United States. Actual salary offers within this range may vary based on a number of factors, including the specific responsibilities of the position, the candidate's relevant skills and professional experience, educational qualifications, and geographic location.

Duties and Responsibilities

Coordinate the commercial division's recurring financial and performance related management reporting; including budget variance reports, performance trend analytics, and divisional scorecards.

Recommend and oversee the development and implementation of proposed improvements in reporting and communication processes to improve management effectiveness and accommodate growth.

Provide analysis and counsel to division leaders regarding the financial and operational performance of the various business segments within the Commercial area.

Prepare and deliver recurring communication to executive management concerning the Commercial Division's financial and operating performance.

Analytical Support for Commercial Division

Support financial analysis requests submitted by the Commercial Division, including feasibility studies for acquiring and divesting distribution platforms, merger and acquisition activity, and customer/product pricing.

Provide evaluation and counsel to Commercial division leaders regarding the financial impact of planned initiatives and strategies.

Direct and oversee competitive financial analysis and statistical studies to determine potential paths for financial improvement.

Review performance trends and recommend appropriate projections or alternatives to executive management.

Work with other areas to evaluate and counsel regarding the financial impact of planned initiatives.

Serve as a commercial project manager for cross-departmental initiatives involving coordination with other sales and support areas within the bank.

Coordination and Development of the Commercial Division's Annual Strategic Plan and Operating Budget

Coordinate and facilitate ongoing planning and budget development activities within the Commercial Division.

Perform detailed analysis of budgets and plans to ensure both accuracy and consistency with the corporate plan, initiating follow‑up with appropriate management.

Prepare and deliver the Commercial Division's plan and budget presentations to executive management for approval.

Skills and Qualifications

BA Degree in Accounting or Finance required; MBA preferred.

Five or more years of relevant experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and accounting at a corporate‑wide or divisional level.

Strong financial systems experience (e.g., Hyperion, SAP, Axiom, Microsoft Excel) required.

Significant exposure to commercial banking, including a strong understanding of sales and operational processes, competitive analysis, pricing, and product development.

Strong knowledge of financial valuation techniques and broad GAAP knowledge.

Excellent communication, organizational, analytical, and decision‑making skills required.
