What You’ll Do
Owens Corning is investing over $200 million to transform our Kansas City Fiberglass Insulation Plant, adding jobs, expanding capabilities, and shaping the future of manufacturing. We are looking for a Senior Financial Analyst who thrives on challenges, inspires teams, and delivers results that matter.
Purpose of the Job
The position provides financial leadership to the Kansas City, Kansas Plant, reporting to the Plant Controller. The analyst maintains controls, manages the financial closing, forecasting and budgeting processes, and provides accurate financial data and productivity opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
Operations Planning
Participates in developing operational objectives aligned to corporate and division strategic objectives.
Leads proactive development of contingency plans, productivity improvement opportunities, and corrective actions to ensure optimal facility financial results and shareholder value.
Owns large projects as the plant evolves and consolidates.
Financial and Operational Controls
Ensures internal controls are effective, covering data integrity, asset protection, segregation of duties, budgeting, reporting, information systems, and adherence to GAAP, SOX, and corporate policies.
Leads and coaches department NLTs to document and enforce internal controls.
Manages the continuous sign‑off process and modifies procedures for policy changes.
Drives representation letter process, providing assurance on internal controls.
Owns representation and financial return of plant assets.
Reporting and Analysis
Leads financial planning, budgeting and forecasting.
Prepares and delivers plant financial forecasts and projections.
Responsible for monthly closing with Accounting.
Communicates results to management and non‑financial personnel.
Provides variance analysis, risk analysis for contingency planning, and ensures SAP data integrity.
Improve Plant Profitability
Leads actions to achieve targets, mitigate risk, and prioritize resources.
Provides insightful analytics that anticipate change and drive decisions.
Provides investment analysis and educates plant personnel on KPIs.
Cross‑Functional Leadership
Works across organization boundaries to achieve plant, division, or corporate objectives.
Shares best practices across division.
Aligns teams and resources to solve problems and drive results.
Delivers functional leadership to all team members.
Metrics
Timely and accurate closing process.
Forecast accuracy and timeliness.
Balance sheet integrity.
Controls performance ratings, audit ratings.
Operating rhythm and process timing.
Operations plans execution and KPI achievement.
Financial performance against plan.
Return on capital from capital projects.
Experience and Requirements
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related discipline; MBA, CMA, CPA preferred.
2+ years supporting manufacturing operations.
Preferred
Experience forecasting, scenario planning, risk analysis across economic cycles.
Delivering continuous improvement and strategic planning.
Demonstrated growth in prior roles.
Knowledge and Skills
Proficiency in SAP, Microsoft Office/Excel.
Strong financial acumen and corporate finance & manufacturing costing principles.
Ability to teach and communicate in simple terms.
Ability to manage and control costs, develop business cases.
Knowledge of customers, competition, and market dynamics.
Strategic thinking and execution.
Abilities and Personal Characteristics
