
Maintenance Technician – Extended Stay Hotel (Weekly Stays)

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Technician to support our weekly extended‑stay hotel properties (Envi North & Envi South). In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring all guest units and common areas are well‑maintained, fully functional, and guest‑ready at all times. You’ll play a critical role in unit turns, preventative maintenance, and rapid‑response service, helping deliver a clean, safe, and comfortable experience for every guest.
Essential Functions
Accountability
Take ownership of assigned work orders and ensure timely completion in a fast‑paced, high‑turn environment
Maintain accurate records of completed maintenance and upcoming needs
Participate in on‑call rotations as needed
Guest‑Focused Service
Respond promptly and professionally to guest maintenance requests
Ensure issues are resolved efficiently with minimal disruption to guests
Foster positive relationships with guests, team members, and vendors
Maintenance & Repairs
Perform repairs across plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, and general building systems
Complete carpentry work including drywall, cabinetry, doors/locks, and fixtures
Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues quickly to minimize downtime of rentable units
Support unit readiness and turnovers, ensuring rooms meet company standards for incoming guests
Preventive Maintenance & Inspections
Conduct routine inspections of guest rooms, building systems, and common areas
Implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce equipment failure and costly repairs
Perform safety checks including lighting, fire/life systems, and overall property condition
Property Upkeep & Operations
Maintain cleanliness, safety, and functionality of common areas and exterior grounds
Identify and address potential hazards proactively
Assist during property emergencies (e.g., water leaks, power issues, weather‑related events)
Coordinate with vendors and assist in overseeing subcontracted work when needed
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus
2+ years of maintenance experience (hospitality, hotels, apartments, or related field preferred)
Strong working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance systems
Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues independently and efficiently
Strong customer service mindset with a focus on guest satisfaction
Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, high‑turnover environment
Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license
Availability for flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and on‑call
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, and move for extended periods
Ability to lift up to 25–50 lbs occasionally
Ability to climb stairs/ladders and work in confined or mechanical spaces
Comfortable working indoors and outdoors in varying conditions
Ability to safely operate tools, equipment, and maintenance systems
Ability to communicate effectively and use mobile devices/tablets for work orders
