Cost Accountant / Plant Accountant
to join an industry leader and employer of choice!
This is a great opportunity for an accounting professional who thrives in a manufacturing environment and wants to play a key role in driving financial performance. The ideal candidate will serve as a trusted partner to plant leadership and a subject matter expert in cost and inventory accounting.
What You’ll Do
Provide financial support and guidance to the Plant Controller, General Manager, CFO, and plant teams
Act as the subject matter expert on cost accounting and inventory transactions
Support budgeting and forecasting for cost of goods sold and inventory
Analyze cost structures, margins, and overall financial performance
Maintain and update standard costs within the ERP system
Perform month-end close activities, including variance analysis for COGS and inventory
Prepare financial reports, statements, and audit schedules
Support internal/external audits and corporate reporting requirements
Collaborate cross-functionally with operations, engineering, and shipping teams
Drive process improvements and support special projects
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (or equivalent experience)
3+ years of accounting experience, including plant or cost accounting
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Proficiency in accounting systems and advanced Excel skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
Strong data analysis and research capabilities
Proven ability to build relationships across departments
