Assistant Manager/ Shift Runner
Job Duties
Operate all equipment, stock ingredients, prepare products, use proprietary technology, receive and process telephone orders, take inventory and complete paperwork, clean equipment and facility daily.
Responsible for orientation and ongoing training for all employees on store products and procedures; responsible for inventory counts; responsible for making the schedule and staffing the store; responsible for running food and labor while in charge of the shift.
Must have good communication skills to lead an effective team; ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions; ability to communicate verbally with customers and co-workers to process orders over the phone and in person.
Essential Function/Skills

- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide accurately and quickly (may use calculator). Must be able to make correct monetary change.
Verbal, writing, and telephone skills to take and process orders. Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers to make precise movements rapidly and accurately with speed. Ability to enter orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen.
Work Conditions

Exposure to varying and sometimes adverse weather conditions when removing trash and performing outside tasks. In-store temperatures range from 36°F in cooler to 90°F and above in some work areas. Exposure to fumes from food odors, cornmeal dust, and other allergens. Cramped quarters including walk-in cooler. Hot surfaces/tools up to 500°F or higher. Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
Sensing : Talking and hearing on the telephone. Near and mid-range vision for most in-store tasks. Depth perception. Ability to differentiate between hot and cold surfaces.
Temperaments : Ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work with others, work under stress, meet quality standards, deal with people, analyze data, and make judgments.
Standing : Most tasks performed standing; work surfaces between 36" and 48" high.
Walking : Short distances for short durations; delivery personnel travel between store, delivery vehicle, and customer locations.
Sitting : Paperwork typically completed at a desk or table.
Lifting : Deliveries may involve up to 50 pounds; cases may be up to 3’ x 1.5’; lifting from floor to shelves up to 72" high.
Carrying : Carrying weights such as 3 lb 7 oz cans, 30 lb pizza sauce, and multiple trays; carrying during delivery includes walking and climbing tasks.
Driving : Deliver pizzas within a designated area; multiple deliveries per shift possible.
Pushing : Move trays on dollies; force up to 7.5 pounds; trays may be pulled.
Climbing : Navigate stairs or ladders for price changes, maintenance, or deliveries; up to five flights may be required.
Stooping/Bending : Frequent bending at the waist during assembly and stocking tasks.
Crouching/Squatting : Occasional to stock shelves and clean low areas.
Reaching : Continuous reaching up and down; occasional reach above 72" for oven controls and pricing changes.
Hand Tasks : Eye-hand coordination essential; frequent use of hands; pizza dough shaping; use of pizza peels and cutters; handling boxes and phones.
Machine, Tools, Equipment : Pencils, computers, telephones, calculators, and pizza-related tools may be used.
Technology : All employees must use Domino’s technology, including Driver app, Corporate DSS tools, and Car Side Delivery app as applicable.
