As a Level 2 Engineer specializing in Ground Systems Development, you will play a crucial role in advancing space exploration. This is an outstanding opportunity to work on innovative fluid and mechanical systems for ground test operations, ensuring every mission is completed flawlessly! As part of a dynamic and dedicated team of Mechanical and Fluid Engineers, you will play a crucial role in developing systems to test rocket engines and space flight vehicles. You will contribute significantly to all aspects of test stand design. Your responsibilities will include designing fluid and structural systems for test facilities, coordinating with suppliers, and overseeing the construction, installation, and commissioning of new test facilities. Being at the heart of Blue Origin operations, the West Texas Site in Van Horn, TX offers eligible employee’s additional attractive financial incentives to supplement their competitive base earnings, including a living allowance and relocation assistance. Eligibility for these additionalrelocate to Van Horn, TX, or travel to Van Horn from another Blue location a minimum of 50% of the time. benefits is based on the employee’s ability to permanently **Responsibilities include but are not limited to:** Select appropriate components based on system requirements and specifications**Minimum Qualifications:** 2+ years of experience in fluid systems, mechanical systems, or test operations Experience with CAD software and engineering analysis tools Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and standards Excellent written and verbal communication skills **Preferred Qualifications:** Experience with AutoCAD, PTC Creo, and fluid/structural analysis softwareFamiliarity with propellant handling systems Familiarity with industry standards including ASME B31.3, ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (BPVC), IEST-STD-CC1246, State and Federal regulations, and other aerospace fluids related specifications. Knowledge of vacuum systems build or operation Experience supporting test operations Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software tools Up to 25% travel required between facilities and for field operations from the Kent, Washington location* Required for all positions: Blue’s Standard Background Check* Required for Certain Job Profiles: Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) background check if at any time the role requires one to be on a military installation* Required for Certain Job Profiles: Drivers who operate Commercial Motor Vehicles with a Gross Vehicle Weight (GVW), Gross Vehicle Weight Rating (GVWR) or combination of power unit and trailer that meets or exceeds 10,001 lbs. and/or transports placardable amounts of hazardous materials by ground in any vehicle on a public road while in commerce, may be subject to additional Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations including: Driver Qualification Files, Medical Certification (obtained before onboarding), Road Test, Hours of Service, Drug and Alcohol Testing (CDL drivers only), vehicle inspection requirements, CDL requirements (if applicable) and hazardous materials transportation/shipping training.* Required for certain Job Profiles: Ability to obtain and maintain Merchant Mariner Credential, which includes pre-employment and random drug testing as well as DOT physical* Benefits include: Medical, dental, vision, basic and supplemental life insurance, paid parental leave, short and long-term disability, 401(k) with a company match of up to 5%, and an Education Support Program.* Paid Time Off: Up to four (4) weeks per year based on weekly scheduled hours, and up to 14 company-paid holidays.* Dependent on role type and job level, employees may be eligible for benefits and bonuses based on the company's intent to reward individual contributions and enable them to share in the company's results, or other factors at the company's sole discretion.
