Job Description & Duties:
EPS Column - Gearbox Design Engineer is responsible for the design, analysis and Bill of Materials generation of EPS Column gearbox.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Math modeling and design alternative analysis
Generate Bill of Materials for column EPS gearbox assemblies and champion change control of BOM.
Interface with steering system application team members on the specification compliance of the product
Support prototype and pre-production orders of column and intermediate shaft assemblies for demonstration, mule and validation vehicles and lab testing
Interface with other regions and technical centers to support new business opportunities,
application design and core technology roll out and application
Qualifications Job Requirements & Qualifications:
BSME
5+ years of experience in automotive engineering required.
FEA background
Worm/reducer wheel and casting design background preferred
Salary Range: 65 -80K DOE
