The Proctor and Events Assistant assists in running the actual assessment of medical students at the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine, as well as assisting with on-/off-campus events throughout the year.
Responsibilities
Lead the clinical skills lab by assigning participants to appropriate rooms, timing an activity, setting up rooms.
Collect and organize paperwork.
Locate specific Standardized Patients for encounters and assist them to the designated areas.
Check in/out Standardized Patients.
Field student questions, and request staff assistance when needed.
Administer CBSE NBME Subject Exams, and other SOM exams, under supervision of a SOM trained master proctor.
Troubleshoot computer issues.
Assist with events hosted by the SOM or the students.
Other duties as assigned.
Adhere to the standards identified in the Medical Center's Organizational Competencies.
Qualifications
High School diploma, GED or GED equivalent.
Must be flexible and available for all dates of a specific event (training, practice interviews, exam dates).
Able to multitask, follow direction, strong organization, a confident and positive demeanor, and comfortable with technology.
Reliable, punctual and dependable.
Must be a good communicator and have ability to assist individuals, interface with faculty, staff and students during events.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office and Google Suite platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
Educational training and/or professional experience in health professions, communication, behavioral sciences, or education preferred.
Compensation & Benefits
The starting rate of pay is provided for informational purposes only and is not a guarantee of a specific offer. Experience: Years of relevant work experience.
Education and Certifications: Level of education attained, including specialized certifications, credentials, completed apprenticeship programs, or advanced training.
Skills: Demonstrated proficiency in relevant skills and competencies.
Geographic Location: Cost of living and market rates for the specific location.
Internal Equity: Compensation is determined in a manner consistent with compensation ranges for similar roles within the organization.
Budget and Grant Funding: Departmental budgets and any grant funding associated with the job position may impact the pay that can be offered.
Some jobs may also be eligible for performance-based incentives, bonuses, or commissions not reflected in the starting rate. Certain positions may also be eligible for shift differentials for work performed on evening, night, or weekend shifts.
In addition to our compensation for full-time and part-time (20+ hours/week) job positions, HMH offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and retirement benefits. Minimum rate of $23.97 Hourly.
