Datos Insights is seeking an Associate Business Development Manager, Events to join our growing Sales team. As an Event Sales Executive, you will help grow a diverse event portfolio across the Datos business and set your sponsorship clients up for success.

Scope of role: Sponsorship sales across multiple executive profiles and event types – including large conferences, intimate tech showcases and regional roundtables. Approximate annual quota = $2M. Average selling points range from $10,000-$50,000+.
Prospect potential new clients and opportunities. Run sales cycles to generate new sponsorship revenue
Manage and renew contracts for next year’s conferences
Achieve activity targets for new sales interactions and client lifecycle touchpoints
Maintain accurate records of sales and account management activity, forecasting data, and client data in the CRM
Run crisp business management practices. Participate in a cadence of forecasting and account planning on a monthly/quarterly/annual basis. Prepare for and participate in internal event steering calls with an ownership of sponsor pipeline and forecast.
Desired experience and capabilities include:
2+ years of B2B business development experience, specifically quota carrying or pipeline building experience
Experience in the financial services industry, selling to Marketing and other senior executives, or in an event business is a plus
The ability to engage C-level and senior leadership within client organizations
A track record of overachievement on goals or quotas and unwavering goal attachment
Outstanding written and oral communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Proficiency with Salesforce.com
English fluency, a bachelor’s degree and a willingness to travel up to 25% of the time
