Job Summary
The Writers Institute at Susquehanna University invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Creative Writing, with a specialty in Creative Nonfiction, to start in August 2026. This is a one-year appointment.
Specific Responsibilities
Teach several levels of creative nonfiction writing workshops.
Provide introductory literature or genre surveys for the undergraduate Creative Writing major.
Minimum Qualifications
MFA or Ph.D. in Creative Writing.
Creative nonfiction publications in nationally reputable literary journals.
Excellent teaching abilities.
Demonstrated interest in building and maintaining literary community.
Familiarity with liberal arts colleges preferred.
