
Offsite Biometrics (Fingerprint) Technician – Full Time

Overview
As the Offsite Biometric Technician, you will support a nationwide government program by assisting the USCIS Application Support Center (ASC) operations. You are part of a dynamic team of professionals who complete biometric registration for applicants seeking legal immigration to the United States, traveling to applicants’ locations to perform mobile biometrics. When not travelling, you will work onsite at the ASC.
Biometric (Fingerprinting) Responsibilities
Process applicants for biometrics capture
Assist applicants with ASC processing forms
Review immigration and biometrics documentation
Perform biometrics processing, including capturing electronic fingerprints, photographs, and signatures
Proof and check work for accuracy and completeness and maintain a 98% efficiency rating for all processed forms
Provide the highest level of customer service to all applicants
Track processing time for each applicant
Safeguard all documents
Perform additional administrative duties as needed
Serve as backup for Receptionist, Biometric Technician, and Site Supervisor
Minimum Qualifications
Must be able to obtain and maintain a government‑issued suitability clearance; U.S. citizenship is required
Must have a valid driver’s license
Local travel 50‑100% of the time to fulfill contract requirements, up to 100% travel outside ASC site area
Regular travel to multiple locations within assigned routes, including nursing homes, residential homes, hospitals or other locations as determined by USCIS
Ability to work in varied environments, including urban, suburban, rural, and facilities with differing levels of accessibility
Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules, travel routes, and customer needs, sometimes with short notice
Willingness to work in diverse weather conditions and environments that may present physical, emotional, or situational challenges
High School Diploma or equivalent
Ability to stand and walk for up to 75% of assigned work hours
Ability to work in a high‑paced environment with the public
Demonstrated customer service skills
Basic computer typing and usage skills
Ability to act as the primary independent point of contact with the customer
Maintain professional conduct and confidentiality while representing the organization in the community
Ability to carry/transport 30 lbs
Compensation Details
$17.90 per hour. The compensation range or hourly rate listed for this position is a good‑faith estimate of what the company intends to offer.
