Job Description
Nemours is seeking an SPD Tech to join our Nemours Children's Health team in Wilmington, DE. This is a full-time, dayshift position.
Key Responsibilities
Inspect, decontaminate, sterilize, and assemble surgical instrumentation in accordance with industry standard guidelines and regulations.
Adhere to the policies and procedures of Nemours Children’s Health, including locations in Delaware, Malvern, and Deptford.
Prepare surgical case carts and support operating room central cores using preference cards based on daily assignments.
Maintain state and federal clearances for DE, PA, and NJ for periodic rotation to the Malvern Surgery Center and Deptford Ambulatory Surgery Center.
Follow established protocols for inspecting, decontaminating, preparing, and packaging medical/surgical supplies and equipment.
Distribute medical and surgical supplies from sterile processing areas throughout the facility.
Enforce standard precautions and personal protective equipment (PPE) usage.
Operate equipment safely according to manufacturer’s instructions.
Monitor, interpret, and document results of physical, chemical, and biological indicators for all sterilizers.
Prepare and distribute surgical case carts based on physician preference lists and perioperative team needs.
Manage inventory, receiving, and restocking materials in collaboration with the Materials Management Department.
Comply with organizational, regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards.

Qualifications
Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) – required
High School Diploma – required
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) within six months of hire – required
