We are seeking a highly skilled
GCP Data Engineer
with strong expertise in
data modelling
to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and architectures on Google Cloud Platform. This role is ideal for professionals who thrive in transforming raw data into well-structured, high-quality datasets that power analytics, reporting, and machine learning initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement
data models
(conceptual, logical, and physical) to support business intelligence, analytics, and operational systems.
Develop and maintain
ETL/ELT pipelines
using GCP services such as
BigQuery, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, Cloud Composer, and Cloud Storage .
Collaborate with data analysts, scientists, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into efficient data structures.
Ensure
data quality, consistency, and governance
across multiple sources and domains.
Optimize BigQuery queries and storage for performance and cost efficiency.
Implement
best practices for data security, compliance, and scalability
within GCP.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve data workflows to ensure reliability and accuracy.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Proven experience as a
Data Engineer
with hands‑on expertise in
Google Cloud Platform .
Strong knowledge of
data modelling techniques
(star schema, snowflake schema, normalization/denormalization).
Proficiency in
SQL
and experience with
BigQuery
optimization.
Experience with
Python/Java/Scala
for data engineering tasks.
Familiarity with
data governance, metadata management, and data cataloging .
Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to work in cross‑functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with
machine learning pipelines
and integration with AI/ML services on GCP.
Knowledge of
CI/CD practices
for data engineering workflows.
Exposure to
data warehousing concepts
and modern data lakehouse architectures.
Certification in
Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer
is a plus.
