What You’ll Do as a Systems Engineer/Designer

Apply theories and principles of system design to support the sales, installation, and service of Tech Electronics' systems

Ensure system design and technical support complies with applicable codes, specifications, and/or customer needs

Understand the strategy and objectives of each Strategic Business Unit

Handle various aspects of designing and engineering work, including small or basic system installations or moves, adds, and changes

Respond to customer requests, both verbal and written

Communicate directly with customers through quotations, meetings, presentations, drawings, and/or technical support to understand and define their needs

Produce drawings from sketches, existing drawings, and electronic images, and work from customer drawings, company drawings, and/or specifications

Work closely with all departments to ensure drawings convey correct information and are error‑free

Maintain system knowledge and code knowledge as directed

What You Need as a Systems Engineer/Designer

Associate degree in a field of electronics, electrical or computer engineering or related engineering field or equivalent work experience

One year of experience in a designer/engineer capacity

Understanding of CAD, FireCAD, and drafting techniques

NICET II Fire Alarm – preferred

Knowledge of design techniques, principals, and tools involved in the production and use of technical plans, blueprints, drawings, specifications, and models

In‑depth knowledge of computer, local area network, and wide area network technologies
