About the Job
We are looking for a Meat Prep to prepare and cook all fresh meats. This is a BOH position. The role ensures meticulous preparation and keeps the kitchen running smoothly.
What You’ll Do
Prepare and portion food items with precision, ensuring all ingredients are ready for service.
Stock, date, rotate, and check temperatures of products to guarantee freshness.
Maintain a clean and organized kitchen by adhering to state and local sanitation, storage, and refrigeration requirements and codes.
Handle slicers, knives, and other kitchen utensils and equipment with care to ensure a safe working environment.
Adapt to the needs of the kitchen, shifting tasks as necessary to keep operations running smoothly.
Requirements
Repetitive hand and arm movements, grasping, bending, and reaching.
Responsible for moving or lifting an average of 30-50 pounds.
Exposure to extreme temperatures (coolers, cooking equipment, etc.).
Safe and proper handling of knives, kitchen utensils, and equipment.
Maintain a sanitary kitchen by adhering to state and local sanitation, storage, and refrigeration requirements and codes; cleaning equipment.
Basic food preparation skills and knowledge of HACCP standards.
Ability to follow recipes and/or product directions for preparing, seasoning, cooking, carving, and serving food items which may include meats, vegetables, desserts, and other food products.
Manage and perform stock counts, date, rotate, and temperature checks of products.
