Job Description
A Senior Data Engineer with at least 5 years of experience in the Microsoft Azure Data Platform, responsible for developing complex data ingestion and transformation pipelines, designing modern data architecture, and leading technical teams to deliver high-quality data solutions.
Microsoft Azure Cloud Services
Complex data ingestion and transformation pipelines
Spark programming (Scala, Python, PySpark, Spark SQL)
Advanced SQL programming
Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake Storage, Azure Synapse Analytics or Azure Databricks
Data warehousing, ETL/ELT patterns at scale
Business-to-technical translation and solution design
Data integration, pipelines, data streams, and API design
Data warehouse schematics and relational
on-relational database design
Data exposure via Power-BI, Azure API Apps, or similar platforms
Metrics, monitoring, and data quality processes
Responsibilities
Build and maintain scalable data pipelines and streams.
Design and implement data service APIs.
Lead and mentor development teams.
Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
Analyze current business practices and identify opportunities for cloud modernization.
Deliver architectures for data transformation and modernization.
Provide sizing, configuration assistance, and perform needs assessments.
Support client relationships through excellent communication and collaboration.
Implement effective metrics and monitoring processes.
Qualifications
Proven experience turning business use cases into technical solutions.
Business process mapping of data and analytics solutions.
Leadership of development teams and mentoring experience.
Modeling business processes using industry best practices.
Data profiling, cataloging, and mapping for design and construction of technical data flows.
Experience with Google Cloud Platform is a plus.
Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer or Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
