Position Overview
We’re seeking an experienced and proactive
HR Generalist
to support key functions of our Human Resources department. This role plays a critical part in onboarding new employees, supporting training initiatives, and ensuring smooth and equitable performance management processes across the organization.
Responsibilities
Onboarding
Assist with new employee onboarding, ensuring a seamless and positive experience for all new hires.
Conduct background checks for new hires and current employees as required.
Send account request forms to the IT department to ensure timely setup of new hire accounts and access.
Verify I-9 documentation and maintain accurate employment eligibility records in compliance with federal regulations.
Provide in-office orientation, including walking tours of the office for new hires starting on-site.
Training and Development
Assist with the design, development, and implementation of training programs for employee learning and development.
Monitor training modules and pull periodic reports to ensure timely completion of training courses by employees.
Performance Management
Assist with semi-annual performance and compensation review process.
Assist with quarterly performance reviews for remote team members.
Document Management
Perform file audits to ensure all documents such as various acknowledgement forms and job description are accurately saved and maintained in each employee’s personnel file in Dropbox.
Benefits Administration
Review and verify benefit billing to ensure accuracy.
Manage the Benefits Dashboard on the HRIS platform to support timely approval of employee benefit enrollments.
Oversee the COBRA Dashboard and ensure all COBRA packets are sent out in a timely manner.
Payroll
Review employee timecards for payroll processing and ensure all missing punches are accounted for.
Employee Engagement
Assist with employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and firm-wide events.
Help foster a positive and high-performing workplace culture aligned with our firm’s values.
Qualifications
Minimum of
3 years of HR experience .
Strong understanding of
labor and employment law ; a
legal background is highly preferred .
Experience in
employee relations, compliance, and HR investigations
is highly preferred.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build trust and foster relationships at all levels.
Demonstrated integrity, professionalism, and discretion in handling confidential information.
Proficiency in
HRIS platforms ,
applicant tracking systems , and the
Microsoft Office Suite .
Compensation
$65,000 to $75,000 salary
