Job Summary
The Training Coordinator is responsible for the execution of the Plant’s training program and initiatives. This position will assist in the planning and coordination of operational and functional area training with a focus on driving the skilled and semi‑skilled training program. The role serves as the subject matter expert (SME), partners with the Site Leadership team, identifies other SMEs, and provides leadership, guidance, and follow‑through to support the completion of departmental sustainment goals by delivering breakthrough results in Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost, and Culture.
Responsibilities
Work closely with Plant Leadership to develop and/or expand the skilled and semi‑skilled training program
Create and coordinate materials and facilities for training sessions, including handouts, supplies, technology, and virtual/physical conference rooms as appropriate
Develop training calendars that meet the needs of the training program
Facilitate training meetings or events and coordinate external trainers when necessary
Assess employees for training needs and report on assessment results
Coordinate training and track sign‑offs of employees as they begin and progress through skilled and semi‑skilled training programs
Track progress of employees through the program, escalating to leadership when delays arise
Develop, maintain, and coordinate the operational and functional area SMEs to ensure effective training
Ensure all employees and leaders at the Site are assigned to the correct trainings, and that completion of training is in accordance with the training program
Track and report the status of training priorities and initiatives
Monitor program effectiveness and recommend improvements
Facilitate specific and targeted CI training at the Site level
Analyze data to identify Kaizen opportunities
Participate in Kaizen events to drive sustainable improvements
Establish and drive productivity pipeline roadmaps across departments and the facility
Manage multiple projects simultaneously

Experience
Two years manufacturing/production processes
Two years creating and facilitating training programs
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Training & Development, Business or Similar
Skills & Abilities
Knowledgeable in foundational training methodologies
Communicate in English; bilingual a plus
Working knowledge of CI methodologies and tools
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong self‑confidence
Strong will to drive change
Excellent problem‑solving skills and the ability to work with autonomy
Accuracy, detail orientation and maintain confidentiality
Ability to perform arithmetic in various units of measure
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions

Lifting demands: Lift up to waist occasional; lift to shoulder occasional; lift to overhead occasional; carry up to 25 feet occasional; carry up stairs occasional. Other: On‑site attendance required 100% to perform essential functions; significant interaction with associates in multiple locations such as Wheeling or Beaver Dam.

The expected compensation for this role is between $73,000 and $93,000. Benefits include health insurance, pre‑tax spending accounts, retirement benefits with company match, paid time off, short‑term and long‑term disability, and life insurance.
